What happened ... to the time? April Update in June

Wow, I can't believe it's been since March that I visited my site to update. It's been a busy 2 months. April had me traveling to Phoenix for a CLSA (contact lens conference) and yes, I did take a side excursion on a Jeep tour to the Senora desert. But I also managed to get in 13 educational hours! Whew! I had hoped for warm weather but no-o-o it chose to be cool. I still had a good time and learned a great deal!

I also flew (in April) to Greensboro, GA for 10 days to give my father in-law, Austin, respite from caretaking for Barla. Most of you know that she has Alzheimers and she is still living at home with the love of her life, Austin. What a blessing to witness such love and devotion that Austin gives to Barla. And the love she shows him ... she loves her hugs and kisses from him! They recently celebrated 53 years of marriage!

While back in GA, I took a day to drive to Columbia and surprise my sister, Miriam, for her 50th BD. She was surprised! I wished I had thought of taking a picture of her answering the door. It is a sight I will never forget! I am so glad to have celebrated this milestone with her.
